Thankful for texting!

Tonight I was texting with a French teenager who has attended some of our YL events. She seemed eager to attend almost everything we were doing at first, but then stopped attending and wasn't quick to reply. I invited her to a movie & pizza night this Friday via Facebook, but hadn't heard back. I ventured to send her a text message tonight just to see if she had gotten the FB message, and I'm so glad I did because she told me her computer is acting funny and had not gotten my message! She was excited for the invitation and plans on coming. She said more than once that she is so glad to have good friends like us (YL people) and that it will be so nice because she's been coming out of a hard time. I know that teens have many struggles these days, which is why I'm so grateful to be available to the ones God has placed in my life. I'm really thankful for the opportunity to know this bright young woman and pray that I can be an encouragement and light to her.
