Bath water, anyone?

On Christmas Eve I shared breakfast in the "Pump Room" in Bath, England with my two friends, Beth and Mary. The Pump Room is a beautiful room where you can take breakfast, lunch or afternoon tea. It's famous for being the "social heart of Bath for the past two centuries".

We ventured to try the famous "Bath water", which comes from the natural hot springs. It's supposed to be very healthy and healing, but it smells and tastes awful! Oh, and it is warm when served, which doesn't help! See the taste testing below....

I was smiling at first, but the tasting ended with a very disappointed expression.
Please, no more Bath water!

I, too, have drunk Bath water!! I had afternoon tea in the Pump Room. Sigh. I wish I had been with you. At least I can picture it. It is one of my favorite places in the world! Such an old city; beautiful!

Amy, that sounds gross. The room is pretty enough, but boo on warm bath water. I like the variety of facial expressions!
