Family Campaigners (we heard a good message tonight!)

On Sunday nights we (Young Life) have what we call Family Campaigners. In the world of Young Life, Campaigners is basically a Bible study for teenagers. So, if you tack on the word family, you get a Bible study for the whole family! It has been a great thing for many families in the Paris international community. We meet in the homes of various families and have a time of singing together, sharing "highs & lows" from our week, watching a lesson (we've been going through some lessons/messages from Louie Giglio and Andy Stanley), discussing the lesson and then finally sharing good food and fellowship! We usually range from 20-25 people, but have had 30-35 at times. Our youngest attendee has been 6 weeks old and our oldest around 80 years old!

I have enjoyed Family Campaigners more than words can express. I have found the lessons to be thought provoking, challenging and encouraging. I have deeply enjoyed spending time in people's homes...especially when my family is all back in the states! It's also refreshing to have whole families come together--even the children! We all cram together and it's been really good.

The series we are going through at the moment is a 4-part series called, "The Star, the Cross, and the Crescent." It's a series on the origins of Judaism, Christianity and Islam. It compares these religions; their similarities and their differences. Tonight we heard the testimony Judy Reamer, a Messianic Jewish woman (meaning she is Jewish, and also a believer/follower of Jesus Christ). Her story is compelling. I highly encourage you to watch her message here: http://www.northpointministries.org/player/player.jsp?occurrenceID=1405
