Eglise de Garches

This week I'm staying in the town of Garches with an American high school student whose parents are in the U.S. at the moment. Yesterday I went to the store and missed the return bus by 1 minute. Rather than wait 35 minutes for the next bus, I decided to make the 15 minute walk. It was, after all not raining.

I came across this church. It's called the Eglise Saint-Louis. I read up on it so I seem a bit informed. It was originally constructed in 1209, but was partially destroyed in a battled in 1871. It was then reconstructed between 1871-1876. There has since been some renovations both interior and exterior.

I would have stayed longer to enjoy the church and take some better pictures, but there were 2 creepy guys hanging out so I thought I should keep walking. No worries, I got home safe:-)
